Theo arrived early Saturday morning, on his due date!  My contractions started while at work on Friday afternoon.  I didn't really think anything of it because the day before my doctor was thinking he wouldn't be here for another week.  But the contractions kept getting stronger so I went home from work and ate some dinner.  We went ahead and called "Grandma" Izzy to come over and get MJ and took the dogs to their babysitter's house.  We got up to the hospital at about 7:30pm.  They admitted me at around 10pm once contractions started getting closer together.  I got my epidural around 11pm (PTL!)  With Madelyn I didn't get my epidural in time so it didn't really do any good.  This time around, it actually worked!!  This was a much different experience than with Madelyn!  Theodore Joseph came at 2:33am weighing in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. and 19.5 in. long.  Our little blessing.

We came home late Sunday morning and settled in.  The dogs came back on Sunday evening and Madelyn came back last night.  I sure did miss that girl!!  My mom came in yesterday afternoon.  It'll be nice having her help!  My best friend, Brandy, flies in next Wednesday.  Very excited about seeing her!  Then it's nonstop family for the next month and a half.

Things have been going well so far.  Theo was eating 1.5 ounces every 4 hours, but wasn't getting full so we're changing it to 1.5 ounces every 3-3.5.  He's been doing okay at night; still getting used to a new place.  He'll get used to his new home =).

So happy our little buddy is here.  Tim and I were wondering how our hearts could expand anymore after having Madelyn, BUT they sure have.  We love him.

-Megan

Madelyn: 14 Months

MJ, you are 14 months!  Getting so big sweet girl!

-You are jabbering non-stop.  Still only saying "mama", "dada" and "nana", but LOVE talking to yourself.  Most of the time it's when you're getting sleepy and winding down for bed.

-Wearing size 4 diaper.  We have started putting you in an overnight diaper when you sleep at night because you sleep soo long and drink a lot of water at dinner time.

-Wearing size 12-18 clothes and PJ's.

-Eating lots and lots of food.  You'll eat whatever we put in front of you.  Some of it you like more than others, but you at least try them all (or mommy makes you try them all =).  Your favorites are still fruit-grapes, bananas, strawberries, blueberries along with sweet potato fries, chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, peas, eggs, sandwiches, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, olives, avacado, cheese (tilamook =) and the list goes on.  You tried a new food this past weekend...salsa...and loved it!  You fit right in with mommy and daddy!

-You go to sleep between 6:30pm-7:30pm each night and sleep until about 7:30am.  If you wake up early, you play with your toys and wait for mom and/or dad to come get you.  Then you go open the doggies kennel to let them out.

-Still no walking, but you're learning to stand up on your own and cruise around.  You'll learn when you're good and ready.  Lots of crawling.  Daddy's been teaching you to crawl up the stairs.  You have fun with this.

-You're getting very interactive with your toys.  Talking and jabbering on to them.  You like to stack up blocks and toys on top of each other.  It's cute to watch.  You also stand up next to your toy box and pick out what you want to play with.

-You have 4 cups of whole milk a day, 3 solid meals and an afternoon snack.  Still only water; no juice.

-Still taking 2 naps-about an hour in the morning between 9:30am-10:30am and an hour and 1/2 to 2 hours in the afternoon-about 1:30pm-3:30pm.  It all depends on how active you've been during the day.

-You had lots of babysitters this month so mommy could have a little relaxing time and run errands!  You have lots of people who love you!  We can't blame them =)
