Music Academy

For the past several years, Tim and I have been praying and thinking about starting a music school at our church.  Our heart behind this is to develop future music leaders and reach our community.  We both enjoy teaching lessons and have many talented musicians at our church that can be involved as well.  Since the beginning of this year, we've been discussing it with the church and figuring out how to make it happen.  I'm excited that we've worked it all out and announced it to the church last Sunday!

This means I'm leaving my job at the school I've been at for the past 6 years.  It's bittersweet.  I've really enjoyed being there and love the people I work with.  I've made one of my best friends and am sad I won't be able to see her as much.  My boss was kind enough to let me work part time after Madelyn was born and I got to pick my own days/hours.  Most bosses wouldn't normally do that; I'm extremely grateful.
However, one thing I definitely will not miss is getting up at 5:45am!
