We've been chatting with her about starting school for the last few weeks and she was a little nervous at first. Until we got her school supplies. Then she got really excited. However, mommy kept having melt downs. Oh the tears. But today on her first day, not a drop. I held it together. We'll see what happens during the first full week of school!

Last weekend, she requested to get her nails done with me. So off we went. Of course, she picked a different color for each hand and feet. Sparkles on top. Some fun and much needed girl time.
The person I've been most concerned with was Theo. He is her shadow. Follows her around everywhere. However, yesterday when we asked Theo what he wants to do while Madelyn is at school he said, "How about we go to the lake? Or the swimming pool? Or go to the mall and throw pennies in the fountain?" Bubba will be okay. Apparently we have lots of plans.
We were able to meet her teacher last week and check out the classroom. She had fun going around the room and seeing all the fun things in store for the year. We also learned that a friend she met from VBS is going to be in her class. They were both excited to see each other!
This morning we got up, dressed, brushed teeth, eat breakfast then off to school!

She got out at noon today so we picked her up and headed to Cook-Out to grab a milkshake. Madelyn bought her lunch at school today, pepperoni pizza, her favorite! But there's always room for ice cream.
Praying for a fantastic kindergarten year for my baby girl.

Our Baby Girl's first day of kindergarten. Good thing Tee isn't there with mommy. I just cried through the whole post. Looks like our brave princess had fun. I'm glad. And Bubba is probably wondering when he gets to start! Thanks for the pics. I remember yesterday cuddling with a tiny goose all swaddled up and fitting in the crook of my arm... That was yesterday, right? It couldn't possibly have been over five years ago...Love you all !
Can't believe this little girl is starting kindergarten!! So proud of you Madelyn:) Theo will love being the only kid at home for a while!!! Love you all...Gigi and Pops
